MacsLive to Webcast Yeshiva Women's Basketball Game for First Time in Program History

NEW YORK, N.Y.— The Yeshiva University Department of Athletics is excited to announce that, for the first time in school history, a Maccabees women's basketball game will be televised live over the internet courtesy of MacsLive (www.macslive.com).

The televised game will happen on Tuesday December 9, when Yeshiva University takes on Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) foe Vaughn College at the ARC Arena at Baruch College at 8 p.m. Yeshiva University student announces Avi Matanky and Moshe Kook will bring you all the action.

"This is a historic event for our women's program and is only the first of many planned video broadcasts of women's basketball games. We are moving in the direction of offering video broadcasts for more games and more sports and I couldn't be happier that these women will be getting the opportunity to play in front of an international audience," said Yeshiva University Director of Athletics Joe Bednarsh." I encourage everyone to attend the game in person but if you can't, MacsLive does a top-of-the-line job and I hope people tune in."

Macs Live has been in existence since 2001. An innovation from the outset, it began as a radio broadcast for home men's and select home women's basketball games before migrating over to video in 2012. Thus far only the men's basketball team has had its games on the site since moving to a video format, until now. Arguably speaking, MacsLive is the best student run webcast in NCAA Division III with cutting edge technology and ambitious student announcers.

The webcast is becoming a reality due largely to the continued diligence and commitment by the MacsLive staff and its student president Benjamin Statman who took the initiative by conducting a walkthrough at Baruch College's facility to finalize logistics at the venue.

Yeshiva University women's basketball and volleyball team has called the ARC Arena at Baruch College home for almost ten years. Located on the corner of East 24th Street and Lexington Avenue in New York City, the ARC Arena is the official home of Baruch College of City University of New York system.
