Greenberg has Solid All-Around Game, Yoshor Another Double-Double in Women's Basketball Game against Berkeley

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.— The Yeshiva women's basketball team was defeated by Berkeley College (NY) 55-37 in a Hudson Valley Athletic Conference (HVIAC) game Tuesday evening at the College of New Rochelle's Wellness Center.
 
The Maccabees were led by Stephanie Greenberg with 17 points, seven rebounds and five steals, while Rebecca Yoshor had 12 points and 13 rebounds. Berkeley was led by Janay Thomas with 20 points, nine rebounds and seven steals, while Milan Germany had 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.
 
Berkeley led 33-14 at halftime, and opened the second half on a 14-0 run to take a 47-14 lead with 11:29 to go.
 
The Knights held a 32-14 advantage on points in the paint and 24-10 on points off turnovers.
 
Yeshiva returns to action on Wednesday for a home contest against the City College of New York at 8:30 p.m. at Baruch College's ARC Arena.
