PURCHASE, NY --- The Yeshiva University women's tennis team moved into a tie for second place in the Skyline Conference on Tuesday night with a 6-3 victory at Purchase College.
With the win, the Maccabees now hold a record of 4-3 overall and 4-1 against league opponents. They will enter Wednesday night's match against Sarah Lawrence College tied with the Gryphons for the number two spot in the Skyline standings, and with control of their own destiny with respect to hosting a conference playoff match.
Sophomore
Shani Hava led Yeshiva with a win at number one singles, 6-1, 6-1. She also teamed with senior
Jannah Eichenbaum to win at number one doubles, 8-2. Junior
Tzipora Leiser won at number two singles, 6-2, 6-0.
Yeshiva hosts Sarah Lawrence at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Queens College Tennis Courts.
