Box Score TEANECK, NJ --- The Yeshiva University men's soccer team defeated visiting St. Joseph's College Brooklyn 10-3 in Skyline Conference competition on Friday afternoon at Votee Park in Teaneck, New Jersey.
The Maccabees of Yeshiva (5-5-1 / 4-1-1 Skyline) were led by junior forward
Itamar Ben David (Tel-Aviv, Israel / Mikva-Israel), who had his best game of the season, finishing with four goals and an assist. Ben David had a hat trick by halftime with three consecutive goals including the eventual game winner. Senior midfielder
Daniel Amar (Dimona, Israel / Laymen), the Yeshiva Male Athlete of the Month for September, scored two goals with an assist, while sophomore midfielder
Aaron Braun (Weston, Fla. / David Posnack) had one goal and four assists.
The Bears of St. Joseph's Brooklyn (0-10-2 / 0-7-1 Skyline) had two goals from sophomore midfielder Cesar Ovideo (South Ozone Park, N.Y. / Christ the King).
Yeshiva outshot St. Joseph's 29-13. Corner kicks were even at three.
The Maccabees are currently second in the Skyline Conference standings, holding the tie-breaker over the College at Old Westbury.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Sunday when they play host to Purchase College at the Aviator Sports and Events Center in Brooklyn. Game time is set for 11:45 a.m.
