Box Score

NEWBURGH,  N.Y. --- The Yeshiva University men's soccer team picked up a 1-1 tie in double-overtime at Mount Saint Mary College on Wednesday night at Kaplan Field in Newburgh, New York.

"The team added another block of character tonight." Head coach Josh Pransky said. "To play 110 minutes, a man down, to get a point out of it is phenomenal. I am proud of our defensive effort and our team-first mentality."

Yeshiva got on the board first when sophomore midfielder Aaron Braun (Weston, Fla. / David Posnack) scored his fourth goal of the season in the 27th minute, scoring off a put-back with an assist from senior midfielder Daniel Amar (Dimona, Israel / Laymen). The score remained 1-0 heading into halftime.

Mount Saint Mary tied it up in the 66th minute on a header from senior forward Michael Ennis (Carmel, N.Y. / John F. Kennedy H.S.), and two overtime periods were not enough to break the 1-1 stalemate.

Yeshiva sophomore goalkeeper Maor Feinstein (Gold Coast, Australia / Havat Hanoar Haziony) recorded two saves in net.

With the tie, Yeshiva is now 6-5-2 overall on the season and 5-1-2 in the Skyline Conference standings. They remain in control of their own destiny for the number two seed in the upcoming championship playoffs. It will be the first time in school history the Maccabees have reached the postseason. Mount Saint Mary's ends the night at 5-9-3 with a 5-2-3 record in league matches.

Up next for the Maccabees, the team plays host to the Golden Eagle of St. Joseph's College – Long Island on Sunday, October 25th at 4:30 p.m. in North Arlington, New Jersey.
