NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. --- The Yeshiva University men's soccer team lost 8-2 to visiting St. Joseph's College Long Island on Sunday in North Arlington, New Jersey.

"We did not execute our game plan today." Head coach Josh Pransky said. "Ultimately, the blame is on me. It is my responsibility to prepare the team each week and obviously I am at fault for not getting us properly prepared."

Yeshiva had goals from freshman defender Juan Cotton (Miami, Fla. / Dr. Michael Krop Senior High), who scored in the 41st minute, and freshman forward Julian Ribak (Buenos Aires, Argentina / Hillel), who found the back of the net off a long ball over the top of the defense in the 20th minute. Assists were awarded to freshman defender Chino Grobman (Miami, Fla. / Dr. Michael Krop Senior High) and freshman midfielder Dan Cohen (Aventura, Fla. / Dr. Michael Krop Senior High).

With the result, the Golden Eagles move ahead of the Maccabees for second place in the Skyline Conference standings. St. Joseph's boasts a record of 6-2-1 against league opponents (with an 8-10-1 overall record) while Yeshiva is in third place at 5-2-2 (with an overall win-loss record of 6-6-2).

Yeshiva will look to solidify their prospects for the Skyline Conference Championship Playoffs when they play at Maritime College on Wednesday, October 28th in a 7:00 p.m. match. It will be the regular season finale for the Maccabees.
