Box Score NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team suffered a Skyline loss to the College at Old Westbury, 80-47, on Thursday evening on the campus of Baruch College. The game was held during the 19
th annual Macs Madness event.
Senior forward
Julia Owen led all scorers with 21 points. She also dished out three assists and forced two steals. Sophomore forward
Michal Alge produced nine points and grabbed eight rebounds. Junior forward
Simee Rosner scored six points, tallied just as many rebounds, and blocked two shots.
Yeshiva (0-8, 0-5 Skyline) was able to outscore Old Westbury (5-2, 3-0 Skyline) in the fourth quarter, 17-12, but it was not enough as the Panthers earned the win in convincing fashion. The highlight for the Maccabees in that fourth quarter was a three-point basket made by Owen just 1:32 into the stanza.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Saturday, for a Skyline contest against the Sage Colleges. The game will begin at 8:30 p.m. on the campus of the City College of New York.
