NEW YORK, N.Y. - Yeshiva University is proud to host the Mid Atlantic Conference Fencing Association (MACFA) Group B Round Robin on Sunday, February 7. All matches will take place at the Max Stern Athletic Center, beginning at 9:00 a.m. This is the first time Yeshiva has hosted a men's fencing competition in four years.
"It is an honor to host this event," Yeshiva head coach Peter Rosas said. "We look forward to facing good opponents and I believe our guys will do quite well against respectable competition. This will be a great experience for the team and the University."
Six teams, including the Yeshiva University men's fencing team, will face each other in a series of matches. The other five schools are Hunter College, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Stevens Institute of Technology, the College of New Jersey, and Army West Point.
Sophomore Spencer Brasch, who has won 28 out of 36 bouts so far this season, has led the Foil squad. In Epee, freshman James Alavosus has won 12 bouts, while junior Jack Sasson has 14 wins in Sabre duels.
