Full ResultsEDGEWATER, N.J.— The Yeshiva men's tennis team earned its first win of the season on Thursday evening as the Maccabees beat Ramapo College 7-2 at the Binghamton Racquet Club.
Yeshiva is now 1-1 on the season, while Ramapo falls to 2-1.
The Maccabees swept the doubles matches and were victorious in four out of the six singles matches.
At first doubles,
Igal Mostkov and
Dmitri Lebedyev won 8-3, while at No. 2 doubles,
David Papis Elon and
Steven Jemal pulled out a 9-7 victory. At No. 3 doubles,
Charles Saka and
Adam Wannon earned an 8-1 win.
In singles competition, Mostkov won at No. 1, 6-1, 6-0 over his Ramapo counterpart. At No. 2 singles, Papis Elon earned a 6-4, 6-2 win. At No. 3 singles, Lebedyev won 6-4, 6-4, while Jemal won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 4. In No. 5 singles, Saka lost 6-1, 6-4, while at No. 6,
Eitan Rudansky was defeated 6-2, 6-4.
