FLUSHING, N.Y.— The Yeshiva women's tennis team opened its spring season on Sunday and lost to Hunter College 7-2 at the Queens College Tennis Complex.
Yeshiva is now 7-5.
At No. 1 doubles,
Shani Hava and
Jannah Eichenbaum lost 8-1, while at No. 2 doubles,
Galila Shapiro and
Lindsay Frucher was defeated 8-4. At No. 3 doubles, Loni Schuman and
Jenny Tepler won 8-3.
In singles play, Eichenbaum won via forfeit at No.1, while at No. 2 singles, Frucher lost 6-3, 6-2. At No. 3 Tepler was defeated 6-1, 6-2, while at No. 4 singles, Shapiro lost 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (10-7). At No. 5 singles, Schuman lost 7-6 (7-5), 6-1, while at No. 6 singles,
Aliza Arbesfeld was defeated 3-6, 6-3, 6-0.
Yeshiva is back in action on April 19 at Western Connecticut State at noon.
