NEW YORK, N.Y. – Wednesday is game night, as the Yeshiva University women's and men's basketball teams will host the Farmingdale State Rams in Skyline Conference matchups, beginning at 8:00 p.m. The women will play in the Arc Arena on the campus of Baruch College, while the men will play in the Max Stern Athletic Center on the Wilf campus at Yeshiva University.

For the women, this is the second meeting between these two teams this season. In the first encounter, on December 2, Farmingdale State earned the victory, 65-41. In that contest, the leading scorer for Yeshiva was senior forward
Rachel Mirsky, who scored 10 points. Sophomore forward
Michal Alge had a game-high 10 rebounds, while scoring five points and forcing just as many steals. Senior guard
Ester Kerzner added six points, while classmate
Julia Owen dished a team-high three assists.
Alge was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week on January 4. This is the first time she has earned this honor in her young career. She has grabbed at least twelve rebounds in three consecutive games.
For the season, Owen leads the Maccabees in scoring, with an average of 10.6 points per game, and dishes out 2.5 assists per contest. Alge grabs a team-high 11.3 rebounds per game.
On the men's side, the Maccabees have 13 regular season contest remaining, and all of them will be against Skyline opponents. Seven of those games will be played at home.
Yeshiva is coming off a hard-fought loss to NYU (nationally-ranked #12 at the time), 66-57, back on December 30. In that contest, senior forward
Shelby Rosenberg tallied a game-high 19 points, while classmate
Joseph Ammar scored 17. Thanks to his great performance at NYU, Rosenberg was named the Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week, back on January 4.
Earlier this season, Yeshiva earned a victory on the road against Farmingdale State, 74-69, back on December 2.
In the 2015-16 season, Rosenberg leads the Maccabees in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, and blocks. He scores 17.5 points per game, averages 3.2 assists, and grabs 6.6 rebounds per contest. He has forced a total of 23 steals, and has a team-high 10 blocks so far this season.
