Box Score PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team dropped its Skyline Conference game to St. Joseph's College of Long Island, 59-45, at the Danzi Center, on Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles (6-12, 2-6 Skyline) dominated the first half, outscoring the Maccabees (0-14, 0-9 Skyline), 35-12. Yeshiva turned the tables in the second stanza, outscoring St. Joseph's (L.I.), 33-24 in the final 20 minutes of the contest. The Maccabees' strong second half was not enough, as the Golden Eagles were able to hang on and win the Skyline battle.

Yeshiva trailed the entire game, as St. Joseph's (L.I.) jumped out to an early 11-1 lead and never looked back.

Leading the way for Yeshiva in the contest was senior forward
Julia Owen, who scored 14 points, shot 6-12 from the field, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out two assists. Sophomore forward
Michal Alge produced 10 points with six boards, while junior guard
Tess Blaustein came off the bench with six points and three dimes.

Yeshiva will be back in action on Sunday, for a Skyline contest against Mount Saint Mary. Tip-off is slated for 6:00 p.m. at the Arc Arena on the campus of Baruch College.Â
