Box Score NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team suffered a non-conference loss to the City College of New York, 87-42, at the Nat Holman Gymnasium on Wednesday evening. Yeshiva now falls to 2-11.
The Beavers (3-7) led from wire-to-wire. The Maccabees scored 14 points in the third quarter, but it was not enough.
Leading the way for the Maccabees was senior forward
Simee Rosner and junior forward
Michal Alge, as each player produced a double-double. Rosner scored 13 points and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds, while Alge added 12 points with 13 rebounds, and forced three steals. Senior forward
Tess Blaustein also produced 12 points, with a team-high four assists, and grabbed five rebounds. Classmate
Gavriela Colton pulled down six boards to go along with two points. Sophomore guard
Avigayil Wiener scored one point, dished out an assist, and forced steal. Freshman guard
Laura Betesh added two points of her own, while sophomore guard
Penny Rabin produced a pair of assists.
Yeshiva will take a break before returning to the court on Wednesday, January 25, for a Skyline Conference game at the Sage Colleges, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
