Box Score ALBANY, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team suffered a Skyline Conference loss to the Sage Colleges, 82-44, at Kahl Gym on Wednesday evening. Sage extends its winning streak to seven games, while Yeshiva falls to 2-12 overall and 0-9 in Skyline play.
The Gators (13-5, 9-2 Skyline) never trailed at any point in the game. Yeshiva outscored Sage, 33-31, in the second half but it was not enough as the home team earned the convincing victory.
Leading the way for Yeshiva was junior guard
Andrea Weiss, who set a new career-high with 15 points, which led all players, and shot 5-6 from beyond the arc. Classmate
Michal Alge added 12 points with eight rebounds, dished out a team-high three assists, and forced two steals. Senior guard
Tess Blaustein added seven points with six rebounds and four steals, while freshman guard
Laura Betesh scored four points. Senior forward
Gavriela Colton scored two points and grabbed just as many boards. Sophomore guard
Penny Rabin and junior guard
Shira Feen each added two points, with the former grabbing two rebounds and dishing out two dimes. Feen grabbed a rebound and forced a steal.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Sunday for a Skyline Conference game against Farmingdale State, at the ARC Arena on the campus of Baruch College, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
