FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's tennis team closed out the fall regular season with a hard-fought non-conference win over the College of Staten Island, 5-4, at the USTA National Tennis Center on Monday afternoon. Yeshiva now heads to the Skyline Conference Championships with an 8-1 record.
The Dolphins (7-3) won two out of three flights in doubles play, while the Maccabees came back to win four out of six matches in singles competition.
The sole Yeshiva doubles win came from senior

Rachel Slater, in the second position, by a score of 8-5.
Slater came back to win a hard-fought third singles matchup in three sets. After splitting the first two sets, Slater won the tiebreaker, 10-7. Weiss earned a convincing win at #5 singles, 6-2, 6-2.
Sophomore
Bailey Frohlich dominated at #4 singles, 6-2, 6-1, while classmate
Shana Adler won the sixth singles flight, 6-0, 6-2.
The Maccabees will enter the Skyline Conference Championships as the No. 1 seed. Yeshiva will host No. 4 Purchase College in a conference semifinal match, at the USTA National Tennis Center, on Wednesday. First serve is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
