NEW YORK, N.Y. – The No. 1 Yeshiva University women's tennis team will be competing against No 3. Mount Saint Mary College, in the Skyline Conference Championship match, on Sunday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center. First serve will take place at 3:30 p.m.

The women's tennis team will look to win its first Skyline Conference Championship since 1999 and become the first women's program in school history to earn a bid into the NCAA Tournament.

The Maccabees (9-1 overall) won all six Skyline matches during the regular season. YU earned a win in the Skyline Semifinals against No. 4 Purchase College, 5-1, on Wednesday evening. Earlier that day, Mount Saint Mary (8-8, 3-3 Skyline) earned an upset win over No. 2 St. Joseph's Long Island, 5-4.

Yeshiva earned a head-to-head win over Mount Saint Mary, 9-0, on the Mount Saint Mary Tennis Courts, back on September 13.

Leading the way for the Maccabees has been senior Shani Hava, who went 5-0 in Skyline #1 singles matches during the regular season. She also won all five Skyline #1 doubles matches. She won every game in her first singles flight in the semifinal match against Purchase. That same night, she teamed with junior Rebecca Packer to win every game in the first doubles position.

For the Knights, sophomore Michelle Carnovale went 12-4 in first singles matches this season. She earned a convincing win in the #1 singles position over St. Joseph's Long Island in the Skyline Semifinals, on Wednesday.
