NEW YORK, N.Y. – It is a big night in Yeshiva University athletics, as the #5 men's basketball team will battle #4 Purchase College, in the first round of the Skyline Conference Championships, at Purchase College Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

live streaming video. Fan buses will be leaving from the Wilf and Beren campuses at 6:00 p.m.
These two teams met in the first round of the Skyline Conference Championships last season at the Max Stern Athletic Center. Yeshiva (15-9, 11-5 Skyline) came out on top, 69-63. In their only meeting of the regular season this year, the Maccabees won a tight game over the Panthers (16-9, 10-6 Skyline), 79-77, back on January 29 at Purchase College Gymnasium.
Sophomore guard
Judah Cohen leads the team with an average of 14.9 points per game and has a team-high 40 steals this season. The Englewood resident has been inducted into the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll five times this season. Freshman guard
Simcha Halpert is scoring 13.2 points per contest, and has been named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week four times.
Senior forward
Michael Berg is scoring 11.3 points, with team-high game averages of seven rebounds and 5.1 assists. Berg also leads the team in total blocks for the season with 18. Senior forward
Dean Pienica is averaging 8.5 points, while classmate
Jordan Hod is dishing out 4.5 assists per game and tops the conference in assists-to-turnover ratio at 2.2.
The winner of this game travels to Long Island to take on #1 Farmingdale State, on Thursday evening. Tip-off for the Skyline semifinal game will take place at 7:00 p.m.
