EDGEWATER, N.J. – The Yeshiva University men's tennis team opened up Skyline Conference play with a decisive victory over Purchase College, 8-1, at the Binghamton Racquet Club on Thursday evening. The Maccabees now start the season with an unblemished record of 6-0.
Yeshiva won all three doubles flights and won five out of six singles contests. Senior

Lior Brik rounded up doubles play with a narrow win at the #1 flight, 8-6.
In singles, Rosemblaum cruised to a win at the #2 position, 6-1, 6-1. Brik continued Yeshiva's momentum by dominating at #4 singles, 6-2, 6-0. Ozery and his opponent split the first two sets in the third singles flight, 6-0, 4-6. The reigning Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year earned the third set tiebreaker, 10-6, to clinch the win. Avidan Rudansky won the sixth singles battle, 7-5, 6-1.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Sunday, for a Skyline Conference match against Mount Saint Mary at the Binghamton Racquet Club, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
