The Maccabees will look to advance to the Skyline Conference championship game for the first time in program history. YU has already tied a team record for most wins in a single season with 16 (16-10 overall record).

Yeshiva overcame a 17-point deficit to defeat #5 Mount Saint Mary, 80-67, in the opening round of the Skyline Conference championships in front of a packed and raucous YU crowd on Tuesday evening. In that contest, sophomore forward Bar Alluf and classmate Gabriel Leifer each produced a double-double, with the former scoring 18 points with 12 rebounds, and the latter producing 17 points with 13 boards. Each player dished out five assists. Sophomore guard Simcha Halpert contributed to Yeshiva's balanced scoring with 15 points, while junior guard Justin Hod added 13 points with two assists.

The Rams won the Skyline Conference tournament last season and will look to repeat. Farmingdale finished the regular season as the No. 1 seed, earning a conference record of 16-4 and 18-7 overall. Yeshiva (13-7 Skyline) finished in a four-way tie for second, with the tiebreaker placing YU as the official fourth seed.

Farmingdale State has had Yeshiva's number over the past two regular seasons, going 4-0 over the Maccabees. The most recent contest was a thriller, as FSC outlasted YU by a score of 73-69 in double-overtime out on Long Island, back on February 13.

For the season, the top three scorers in the conference come from Yeshiva. Halpert leads the Skyline with an average of 20.9 points per game, while Alluf and Leifer are tied for second with 18 points per contest. At 544 points so far this season, Halpert is just four points shy of tying the school's single-season scoring record. Eli Hami currently has the record, scoring 548 points during the 2002-03 season. Leifer is bringing down 10.9 rebounds per contest to average a double-double per game.

As a team, Yeshiva is first in the Skyline in scoring offense with 77.1 points per game, while Farmingdale is ranked second with 74.3 points per contest. The Rams have the second best scoring defense in the conference, only giving up 68.4 points a game.

For the Rams, George Riefenstahl leads the team in scoring and rebounding with an average of 14 points and 9.8 rebounds per contest.
