EDGEWATER, N.J. – The Yeshiva University men's tennis team earned a convincing Skyline Conference win over St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, 9-0, at the Binghamton Racquet Club on Tuesday evening. The Maccabees have now won 25 straight Skyline matches. This was the season opener for the Bears.
Yeshiva (5-4, 2-0 Skyline) did not lose a single game in the three doubles flights. Freshman
Dor Gutterman and senior
Charlie Friedman won the first position. The Rudansky brothers, Avidan and
Ezra Rudansky, teamed up to win the second flight, and junior
Isaac Scheinman joined forces with freshman
Dylan Ohayon to win at #3 doubles.
In singles, Friedman won every game in his two-set victory. Sophomore
Avidan Rudansky followed with a dominating victory at the number two position, 6-0, 6-1. Sophomore
Yoni Sacknovitz cruised to win at the third flight, 6-1, 6-1, while junior
Naftali Perlysky, Scheinman, and Ohayon won every game at #4, #5, and #6 singles, respectively.
Yeshiva will head to Fordham University on Friday, for a non-conference showdown against the Division I Rams. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
