CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Yeshiva University men's fencing team competed in the Eric Sollee Invitational, on the campus of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, on Sunday afternoon. Yeshiva dropped team duels to Brandeis University (25-2), Boston College (27-0), host MIT (24-3), Stevens Institute of Technology (27-0), and Brown University (24-2).
Against Brandeis, junior
Sammy Teichberg won a sabre duel, while sophomore
Ilan Marouani won an epee battle. Marouani came back to win two out of three bouts against the Engineers, while senior
James Alavosus won an epee bout of his own. Teichberg won two out of three sabre duels against Brown University.
Yeshiva will compete in the MACFA Round Robin Group "B" event on Sunday, on the campus of Stevens Institute of Technology, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
