HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Yeshiva University men's fencing team returned from the break to participate in the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association (MACFA) Group B Round Robin event, on the campus of Stevens Institute of Technology, on Sunday afternoon. The Maccabees earned a victory over the Hawks of Hunter College, 17-9, while dropping bouts to New Jersey Institute of Technology (25-2), Army (18-9), and host Stevens (22-5).

Zaelig Averch each won all three of their epee battles.
In the duel against Army, the epee team won seven out of nine bouts. Polster and Averch both once again went undefeated at 3-0 each, while sophomore
Ilan Marouani picked up a win of his own. In sabre, senior
Sammy Teichberg and freshman
Edward Shindleman each earned a hard-fought win.
The Macs' epee squad was also victorious against Stevens, as Averch won all three of his bouts against the Ducks. Polster and Marouani each earned a win.
The epee team won two bouts over NJIT, as Averch and Polster were each victorious in one battle.
For the afternoon, Averch won 10 out of 12 epee duels, including seven NCAA victories. Polster went 8-4 during the meet.
The Maccabees will be back in action next Sunday, for the MACFA "B" vs. "C" event, on the campus of NJIT, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
