NEW YORK – The sixth-seeded Yeshiva University men's soccer team will continue its historic run, and quest for a Skyline Championship, on Wednesday afternoon with a league semifinal match at No. 2 College of Mount Saint Vincent. The action at the Athletic Field at Marillac will begin at 2:00 p.m.

The Maccabees (5-7-1) earned its first-ever trip to the Skyline Semifinals by outscoring No. 3 Farmingdale State College in penalty kicks, 4-3. Yeshiva trailed, 2-0, with less than five minutes remaining in regulation time but goals by reigning Skyline Rookie of the Week

Naor Dahan, just 48 seconds apart, evened up the match. In the shootout,
Nicolas Dlugach stopped three penalty kicks, while
Yonatan Reiter scored in the sixth round to clinch a conference semifinal spot for the Macs. Martin,
Ethan Fettaya, and
Marc Ziarno also scored during the shootout.
The Dolphins earned the No. 2 seed, and a first-round bye, thanks to going 9-1-1 in league matches (12-1-2 overall). Mount Saint Vincent earned an impressive non-conference road victory over nationally-ranked No. 7 (at the time) New York University, 2-1, back on October 12.
Yeshiva was bested by Mount Saint Vincent, 2-1 in double-overtime, during their regular season head-to-head matchup at Votee Park, back on September 5. Ian Lamas scored both goals, including the match-winner in the second extra period, for the Dolphins. Reiter tallied his first collegiate goal during that contest for the Blue and White.
This season for the Maccabees, Fettaya produced eight goals and three assists. Rookie phenom
Lucas Baredes found the back of the net five times and added a pair of helpers.
Rafael Cohen generated three goals and an assist, while
Josh Ziarno has just as many goals.
Jess Rom found the inside of the cage two times and provided three assists.
Naor Dahan leads the team with four assists. In net,
Sagi Badash has earned three shutout victories.
For the Dolphins in 2021, Carlos Romero has 10 goals and five assists. Lamas has eight goals with four helpers. In goal, Joel Luna is 10-1-2 with a shutout victory.
