NEW YORK - For the second week in a row, and third time this season, senior
Ryan Turell has been selected as the Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Turell led the nationally ranked No. 1 Yeshiva University men's basketball to a 2-0 record this past week with conference triumphs over Farmingdale State College and SUNY Old Westbury. In the Macs' road victory over the Rams, this past Wednesday, Turell netted 21 points and went a perfect 9-for-9 from the charity stripe. In Yeshiva's win against Old Westbury, on Saturday evening, the Los Angeles native tallied a double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds, while shooting 12-for-18 from the field, and also distributed four assists.
Thanks to Turell's strong play, Yeshiva is 10-0 overall this year and 7-0 in conference play. The Maccabees have won 46 consecutive games dating back to 2019.
