In their head-to-head regular season meeting, back on September 18 at Votee Park, the Maccabees earned a convincing win over the Knights, 4-1. It was YU's first ever victory over Mount Saint Mary in program history. Senior Ethan Fettaya and junior Lucas Baredes each tallied a goal and an assist during the match to help propel YU to the triumph. Senior goalkeeper Benjamin Brener stopped a season-high seven shots for the Macs that day.

The Maccabees led the Skyline with an average of 2.83 goals per match during the regular season. Baredes played a huge role in YU's attack this year by scoring eight goals and adding five assists. Junior Josh Ziarno tallied seven goals, including four game-winners, and provided four assists. Fettaya registered five goals and seven helpers.

For the Knights, senior Matt Wyant produced six goals and 11 assists this year. Classmate Christopher Maggi netted eight goals and provided five assists in 2022, while graduate student Connor Doyle recorded seven goals and three assists of his own.
