NEW YORK – The Yeshiva University men's fencing team will begin the 2022-23 campaign, on Sunday, with a series of team duels at the Rangers Invitational. The action at the Simon Forum will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Yeshiva will have six rookies and three returners compete this year. The three veteran fencers are senior
Brian Bendel (foil), junior
Benjamin Bruder (sabre), and sophomore
Alexander Siegman (foil). The six newcomers are
Noam Ben Simon (sabre),
Aaron Bonert (epee),
Jonathan Laredo (sabre),
Natanel Lewis (epee),
Aden Lyons (foil), and
Jonathan Werta (epee).
Peter Rosas will begin his 21
st season as head coach of the Yeshiva University men's fencing program and 37
th year as part of the YU coaching staff overall. He will be assisted by a pair of Yeshiva men's fencing alumni
Noah Sragow ('18) and James Alavosus ('19). This will be Alavosus' first year as assistant coach, while Sragow has been coaching the team for three seasons.
