POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - Competing as a team for the first time in the 2025-26 season, the Yeshiva Men's Fencing Team took part in the Vassar College Invitational on Sunday, Nov. 9th.
The Maccabees faced off against: Wagner College, Drew University, Cornell University, Hunter College, Yale University, Lafayette College, and Vassar College.
With the result, the Macs are now 0-7 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Yeshiva struggled early, falling in quick succession to Wagner, Drew, and Cornell, all by a score of 26-1.
- The Maccabees had their best round of the day against Hunter, picking up eight bought wins thanks to stellar sword work from Daniel Rosen and Jonathan Werta in epee, and Henry Wildes and Eitan Nissel in sabre.
- The Macs came back down to earth against Yale, falling by a score of 27-0. However, Yeshiva closed out the competition on a high note, scoring six bout wins against Lafayette and five against Vassar in the final two rounds.

Competing in a MACFA tournament for the first time this season, the Macs will take part in MACFA A vs B on Sunday, Nov. 16th.
