NEW YORK, NY - Looking to carry on a proud Maccabee tennis tradition, Elliot Wegman has been named the Yeshiva Women's Tennis Head Coach.
 
Wegman arrived at Yeshiva University as an assistant women's tennis coach in the Fall of 2024, migrating back north after coaching 10 years at the high school level in Virginia.  He won the Virginia High School League Coach of the Year award for all spring sports statewide in 2023, and won three team and four individual state titles during his six years as head coach of the boys' team at Deep Run High School. 
 
Since joining YU as an assistant, the team's record has improved every year.  He helped guide the women's team to two straight conference semifinal appearances, working under Ira Miller until his retirement in March of 2026.
 
Wegman lives on Long Island with his wife Casey, and dog Mochi.
