(Bronx, NY) – Five Maccabees registered hits, and junior Zachary Weiner (Sharon, MA/Maimonides) went 2 for 4, but the Yeshiva University Baseball team lost 30-1 to St. Joseph's (LI) on Tuesday night at Taft High School. With the losses, YU is now 0-8 overall and 0-6 in Skyline Conference play.

St. Joseph's led 11-0 after three innings and 16-0 after four before scoring 12 runs in the top of the ninth inning to cap a difficult night for Yeshiva. Nine YU errors led to 14 unearned runs for the Golden Eagles.

The Maccabees return to action on Thursday afternoon when they travel to Polytechnic for a 3:00 p.m. Skyline Conference game.
