Men's Volleyball falls to Mount Saint Vincent in Skyline Conference Semifinals

(New York, NY) - Junior David Kahana (Silver Spring, MD/MJBHA) had seven kills and six digs, and senior David Katz (Suffern, NY/MTA) chipped in four kills and hit .571, but the Yeshiva University Men's Volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Mount Saint Vincent in the Skyline Conference Semifinals on Sunday, March 15. The loss - coming in the first-ever Skyline Conference playoff match for the Yeshiva University Men's Volleyball team - drops the Maccabees to 7-12 overall.

Despite a tremendous effort by Yeshiva, Mount Saint Vincent swept the match 30-16, 30-16, 30-19 en route to their first-ever Skyline Conference Championship.

Kahana and Katz were outstanding, combining for 11 of Yeshiva's 15 kills. The Maccabees hit .028 as a team and combined for 27 digs, but the service game hampered Yeshiva's efforts as the Maccabees allowed 20 Mount Saint Vincent service aces while amassing only one as a team.

Also having a terrific match for Yeshiva was senior Joseph Bajtner (Skokie, IL/ICJA) had 12 total assists.

Yeshiva returns to action on Monday night when the Maccabees travel to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn for an 8:00 p.m. Skyline Conference match.
