(New York, NY) - Junior David Kahana (Silver Spring, MD/MJBHA) registered 12 kills and five service aces, and senior Joseph Bajtner (Skokie, IL/ICJA) had 34 assists as the Yeshiva University Men's Volleyball team improved to 5-6 with a 3-0 win over Medgar Evers on Sunday, Feb. 15 at Medgar Evers.
Yeshiva swept the match 30-10, 30-11, and 30-15 to improve to 2-0 against Medgar Evers this season. The Maccabees hit .444 as a team, combined for 16 service aces, and combined for 4.5 total team blocks.
Kahana was outstanding, hitting .500 as his 12 kills came with only three attacking errors. Also for YU, junior Zanvy Grauman (Silver Spring, MD/Berman Hebrew) had nine kills and hit .538, while sophomore Rafi Herskovits (Hamilton, Ontario/Or Chaim) added seven kills and seven service aces.
Yeshiva returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 17 when the Maccabees travel to Polytechnic for an 8:00 p.m. match.
