Men's Volleyball improves to 7-9 with 3-0 win over St. Joseph's

(New York, NY) - Junior Zanvy Grauman (Silver Spring, MD/Berman Hebrew) had perhaps the finest match of his career, registering 21 kills against two errors, hitting .704, and adding three service aces, and sophomore Rafi Herskovits (Hamilton, Ontario/Or Chaim) had 13 kills and hit .348 as the Yeshiva University Men's Volleyball team broke a three-match losing streak with a 3-0 win over St. Joseph's College on Sunday, March 1 at the Max Stern Athletics Center. With the win, Yeshiva is now 7-9.

Yeshiva swept the match 30-17, 30-12, and 30-15 to improve to 2-0 all-time against the Bears. The Maccabees hit .303 and combined for 16 service aces and 14 digs.

Also enjoying outstanding matches for Yeshiva were senior Joseph Bajtner (Skokie, IL/ICJA) who had 36 assists, four service aces, and four digs, and junior Nachum Hascalovici (Montreal, Canada/Hebrew) chipped in a team-high five digs.

Yeshiva returns to action on Monday, March 2 when they travel to the Stevens Institute of Technology for an 8:00 p.m. match.
