NEW YORK, NY – The men's volleyball team hosted NYU-Poly last night in a Skyline Conference match-up, and won the match 3 games to 1. Individual game scores were 30-23, 30-24, 27-30, 30-24. Yeshiva now stands at 6-4 (2-1) on the season.
In the first two games, Yeshiva played pretty close with NYU-Poly, but then pulled away for the win. The Macs dropped the third game by 3 points, and then picked up the 4th game easily. The win was the third straight for Yeshiva, and the 4th in the last 5 games.
Joseph Bajtner recorded 49 assists on the evening, making only 2 errors in the match.
David Kahana had 18 kills and 27 digs to lead the Maccabees in both categories. Neftali Rosenthal had 13 kills, and
Zanvy Grauman followed with 10.
Meir Graf led Yeshiva with 4 service aces while
Jack Voystock recorded 2.
Yeshiva is hosting HVMAC opponent Cooper Union tonight at 8PM. They will close the week out on Sunday when they travel to Sage to take on the Gators and Southern Vermont. The first game of that tri-match is scheduled for 1PM.
