NEW YORK, NY – The men's volleyball team hosted Purchase College in the season opener for both teams, and Yeshiva won in straight sets 25-16, 25-18, 25-16. This is the first season opening win for the Macs in over three seasons.
As a team, Yeshiva recorded 22 kills, 11 aces, and 3 blocks.
Raphael Herskovits led the team with 9 kills, 3 blocked shots and shared the team lead in aces with 4.
Jack Voystock also had 4 aces to go along with a team high 12 digs.
Meir Graff had all but one assist (16) for the Macs on a night that they dominated from the start.
Up next for Yeshiva is Mount Saint Vincent on Thursday at 8PM. That will be the last time the Macs are at home until late February, a span of 6 road contests.
