NEW YORK, NY – The Yeshiva men's volleyball team hosted Webb Institute and Albertus Magnus College on Sunday, and won both games. Scores against Webb were 25-17, 25-18, 22-25, 25-14. The Macs defeated Albertus 25-19, 27-25, 25-17. These wins move Yeshiva to 8-9 overall.
Leading the way against Webb was
Raphael Herskovits who recorded 18 kills and only 6 errors on 34 attempts. He also had 9 digs and 2 blocked shots.
Kevin Katz had a team high 16 digs, followed by
Elchanan Margolis with 11.
David Wagner recorded 30 assists.
Herskovits and Margolis each had 8 kills against Albertus Magnus in the day's second game. Wagner had 26 assists, pushing his total to 56 assists on the day.
Kevin Katz led the team with 12 digs and
Jack Voystock followed with 10 of his own. The Macs recorded 7.5 blocked shots, with
Samuel Mond leading the way with 3.
Up next will be a road match at NYU-Poly tomorrow at 8PM. The Macs will return home Wednesday to host St. Joseph's Brooklyn in a HVMAC contest.
