Hoffman, Bash Score in Double Figures at No. 17 Ramapo

Box Score

MAHWAH, N.J. - Seniors Dovie Hoffman (Tarzana, Calif.) and Gil Bash (Tel Aviv, Israel) combined for 24 points Saturday night at Bradley Center, but host Ramapo College, ranked No. 17 in the D3hoops.com Men's Basketball Top 25 Poll, proved to be too much for Yeshiva University, outlasting the Maccabees by an 80-57 decision.

Hoffman, an All-Skyline Conference performer one year ago and on pace to become the 25th person in YU men's basketball history to score 1,000 career points this season, scored a team-high 13 points in just 23 minutes of action, including a 3-for-4 display beyond the 3-point arc. Bash registered 11 points and swiped a pair of steals.

Junior frontcourt stalwart Shlomo Weissberg (Skokie, Ill.) was 4-for-5 at the free-throw line en route to six points and a team-best seven rebounds for 41st-year head coach, Dr. Jonathan Halpert's Maccabees, who were 5-for-12 (.417) from 3-point range as a whole but saw the host Roadrunners convert 26 miscues into 32 points on the night.

Yeshiva is back in action Tuesday night (Nov. 20), when they travel south in Manhattan to face off at Hunter College in an 8 p.m. tip-off.
