HOLLISWOOD, N.Y. - Junior forward Rebecca Yoshor (Houston, Texas) and sophomore guard Stephanie Greenberg (Cedarhurst, N.Y.) scored 28 points apiece Sunday afternoon for the Yeshiva University women's basketball team, which used a spirited second-half rally to pull within eight points late before falling to visiting College of Mount Saint Vincent by a 95-83 count.

Stephanie Greenberg shot 4-for-6 from 3-point range, and added a game-high eight steals, three assists and six rebounds. Meanwhile, Yoshor continued her double-double pace by leading all players with 16 rebounds (10 offensive), while shooting 11-for-19 from the field and registering four blocked shots on the defensive end of the floor.

Sophomore guard Rita Gordon (Lincolnwood, Ill.) turned in a great performance off the bench for the host Maccabees (3-6), as she registered 15 points (5-for-6 FT) and corralled seven caroms.

Yeshiva, which was down by a 53-38 count at halftime, used an 11-3 run late in the contest to pull within a 91-83 score. Yoshor converted a put-back lay-in with 2:44 remaining, before Haley David (New York, N.Y.) buried a pair from the charity stripe to cut the hosts' deficit to eight with 2:15 to go. The two teams exchanged empty possessions over the next 45 seconds, before the Dolphins (3-4) scored back-to-back layups to put the game out of reach.

Yeshiva enjoyed a 21-for-29 display at the free-throw line, while using a 59-34 rebounding margin to hold a 33-10 edge in second-chance points.

First-year head coach Nesta Felix's YU side is back in action Wednesday night (Dec. 12), when it travels to Purchase (N.Y.) College for an 8 p.m. tip-off.
