Box Score NEW YORK, NY – The men's basketball team recognized 4 student-athletes who will be graduating this semester Wednesday night, minutes before their Skyline game with Purchase College.
Omer Haim,
Chen Biron,
Niv Zinder, and
Ohad Babo were the 4 seniors recognized Wednesday. The Macs ended up losing the game 69-48 to the conference's 4
th ranked team.
Omer Haim led the team with 9 assists, improving his season average to 6.8 in conference play. He currently sits atop the league in that category.
Chen Biron knocked down a pair of treys, finishing the game with 7 points.
Gil Bash led the team with 12 points.
David Schmelzer came off the bench and pulled down a team high 6 rebounds. The Macs were outrebounded 37 to 28 and were held to only 34% shooting from the field.
Yeshiva struggled early on, missing their first 5 shots from the field and trailed 17-2 with 13 minutes to play in the half. Purchase pushed their lead to 18 but the Macs were able to get into the locker room down only 13 and stay within reach of the Panthers. Despite 5 quick points to open the second half, the Macs were unable to mount a comeback and Purchase led by double figures the rest of the way.
The Macs have one game remaining this season, which will be played Saturday night at Mount Saint Vincent. The Macs are the home team and will be hosting Sage College.
