NEW YORK, NY – The men's volleyball team won their third match of the season, and first HVMAC conference competition, after going on the road and defeating Sarah Lawrence 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-22). The Macs improved to 3-8 (1-0 HVMAC) on the season.
Yeshiva's victory was a pure team effort, with 5 players scoring 5 points or more in the game.
Raphael Herskovits had 9 points on a team high 6 kills, an ace, and 2 blocked shots.
Naftali Rosenthal,
David Wagner, and
Daniel Lapson each tallied 7 points. Rosenthal blocked a team high 3 shots, Lapson recorded 4 kills and two aces, while Wagner had a team best 4 aces.
Elchanan Margolis recorded a team high 5 assists and 15 digs in the match.
Yeshiva has a tough road contest coming up at NJCU on Thursday, before returning home for 4 straight. The Macs will host Washington Adventist and Cooper Union on Sunday, followed by Ramapo on Monday and St. Joseph's Brooklyn the following Thursday.
