NEW YORK, NY – The men's volleyball team hosted Cooper Union and Washington Adventist Sunday afternoon, defeating both schools. First, the Macs took care of Cooper Union 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 25-20, 25-13) and then defeated Washington Adventist 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-22). With the wins, Yeshiva improved to 5-9 on the season.
Against Cooper,
Jack Voystock led the way with 14 points on 11 kills, an ace, and 2 blocked shots.
Raphael Herskovits followed with 13.5 points (12 kills, an ace, and .5 blocks).
Adam Rhodes led the team with 36 assists and
David Wagner had a team high 25 digs.
In the second match of the day, the Macs were led by
Naftali Rosenthal with 10 kills and three aces. Voystock added 7 more kills, 3 aces and 2 solo blocks in a 12 point effort. Rhodes once again led the team with 25 assists and
William Kessler recorded a team high 12 digs.
Yeshiva will host Ramapo College tonight at 8PM, and then St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Thursday night in a HVMAC matchup.
