PURCHASE, N.Y. - Senior Gil Bash's (Tel Aviv, Israel) team-high 12 points (5-for-11 FG) and four assists were not enough Thursday night for the Yeshiva University men's basketball team, which fell to Skyline Conference foe and host Purchase College by a 75-44 margin.

The Macs (7-8, 4-5 Skyline) were tied with the Panthers (13-3, 7-3 Skyline) just under eight minutes into the contest when junior post player Yoni Eckmann (Wynnewood, Pa.) converted a feed on the blocks from sophomore guard Netanel Weinstein (Efrat, Israel) to knot the score at 13-all.

Yeshiva assisted on 14 of its 19 field goals on the night, with senior Dovie Hoffman (Tarzana, Calif.) and junior Benjy Ritholtz (W. Hempstead, N.Y.) scoring eight points and dishing out three assists apiece. Junior center Shlomo Weissberg (Skokie, Ill.) led the Macs with six rebounds, while senior guard David Schmelzer (Columbus, Ohio) led all players with four steals on defense.

Head coach Dr. Jonathan Halpert's YU side is back in Skyline Conference action on the road Saturday night (Jan. 26), when it travels to Riverdale, N.Y., for an 8 p.m. tip-off at College of Mount Saint Vincent.
