Three Men's Basketball Players Score in Double Figures at Mount Saint Mary

NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Three members of the Yeshiva University men's basketball team scored in double figures Tuesday night at the Kaplan Center, but host Mount Saint Mary College used a 13-for-21 performance from 3-point range to capture a 69-51, Skyline Conference victory over the visiting Maccabees.

YU (8-9, 5-6 Skyline) junior Benjy Ritholtz (W. Hempstead, N.Y.) led the team with 13 points (5-for-9 FG) and two blocked shots, while seniors Gil Bash (Tel Aviv, Israel) and Dovie Hoffman (Tarzana, Calif.; 3-for-4 3FG) poured in 11 markers apiece. The Macs shot 6-for-12 from 3-point range, and received three steals on the defensive end of the floor from senior guard, David Schmelzer (Columbus, Ohio).

Head coach Dr. Jonathan Halpert's Yeshiva side is back in Skyline Conference action Thursday night (Jan. 31), when it plays host to St. Joseph's College of Long Island for an 8 p.m. tip-off at the Max Stern Athletic Center.
