RIVERDALE, N.Y.— The Yeshiva women's basketball team was defeated by the College of Mount Saint Vincent (CMSV) 99-66 on Sunday afternoon.
The Maccabees got a game-high 31 points from
Haley David. She connected on 9-of-22 shots and went 10-for-11 from the free throw line.
Rebecca Yoshor added a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 22 rebounds.
Julia Owen chipped in with 12 points and nine rebounds in the contest.
CMSV had six players score in double figures, and the Dolphins were led by Tanisha Montague with 22 points. Brooke West added 16 points for the CMSV.
The Dolphins held an overwhelming edge on points in the paint, outscoring the Maccabees 62-24. CMSV also forced Yeshiva into 36 turnovers, while committing 14 of its own, and the Dolphins held a 41-15 edge on points off turnovers.
The Maccabees outrebounded CMSV 62-45, including 24-14 on the offensive end.
Yeshiva is now 3-5 on the season, while CMSV remains undefeated at 5-0 this season.
Yeshiva returns to action on Tuesday for a game against Purchase College at Baruch College at 8 p.m.
