Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Yeshiva University women's basketball juniors,
Rebecca Yoshor (Houston, Texas) and
Haley David (New York, N.Y.) combined for 38 points and 28 rebounds Wednesday night at Brooklyn Technical High School as the pair each recorded a double-double in the Maccabees' season-ending, 91-68 loss at the hands of Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference champion, St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn.
Yoshor, who became the first female student-athlete honored on the Capital One Academic All-America® squad when she was tabbed on the Second Team over 24 hours prior to the contest, scored 20 points on 10-for-18 shooting while pulling down 14 rebounds. Meanwhile, David knocked down four 3-point field goals en route to 18 points, 14 caroms and a game-best three steals.
Sophomore
Rebecca Furer (Teaneck, N.J.) registered 13 points, seven boards and two blocked shots for the Macs, while senior co-captain
Naomi Gofine (Toronto, Ont.) rounded out her collegiate playing career by going 4-for-4 from the field en route to an eight-point, four-rebound evening.
