Lautman's 2-for-3 Night Leads Baseball in CUNYAC Play vs. Lehman

Yaniv Lautman led the Macs at the dish with a 2-for-3 night with one stolen base.

BRONX, N.Y. - The Yeshiva University baseball team received two hits and a stolen base from senior Yaniv Lautman (Cleveland, Ohio) Tuesday night, as the Maccabees fell in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) action to visiting Lehman College, 17-0.

YU also received single hits from senior Adam Volk (W. Orange, N.J.), Daniel Turk (Thornhill, Ont.) and senior Yossi Ciment (Brookline, Mass.), while freshman pitcher Jonathan Gardner (E. Brunswick, N.J.) threw 62 of his 98 pitches for strikes over 5.2 innings pitched.

The Macs were down 4-0 heading into the fifth inning of play, but were undone heading into the frame after leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth.

Head coach Albert Baez's Yeshiva side is back in Skyline Conference action Wednesday, when it will take on Mount Saint Mary College in a 1 p.m. doubleheader at SUNY Purchase.
