Box Score 2 FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - Senior
Joel Feigenbaum (Chicago, Ill.) went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and one RBI Friday afternoon for the Yeshiva University baseball team, which took on Skyline Conference mainstay Farmingdale State College in a doubleheader.
The host Rams were victorious in both contests.
Feigenbaum was one of four Macs batters to pick up one hit apiece in the opener, along with classmates
Adam Volk (W. Orange, N.J.),
Yaniv Lautman (Cleveland, Ohio) and
Yossi Ciment (Brookline, Mass.; 2-for-4 on the day, one run scored).
In the nightcap, Feigenbaum was involved in both YU runs in the bottom of the second inning to knot the game at 2-all. Ciment and Feigenbaum hit doubles to right-center field in succession, before the latter came home one batter later when freshman
Gabe Rudansky's (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) single to the 4-3 hole was misplayed as three Rams fielders converged on the ball and left the base uncovered.
Feigenbaum started on the hill in the second contest, and helped himself in the bottom of the fifth frame with a single run, as well. He led off the stanza wth a single down the left-field line on a full-count pitch, and moved up 90 feet on Rudansky's ground out. Two batters later, junior
Jake Frankel (Tarzana, Calif.; 2-for-4 with a triple in game two) singled cleanly to left field to plate Feigenbaum with the Maccabees' third and final run of the afternoon.
Head coach Albert Baez's Yeshiva side is back in Skyline action Sunday (April 21), when it travels to his alma mater, Purchase St., for a 12 noon twinbill.
