Jared Rechnitz (Los Angeles, Calif.) added 13 kills on .455 hitting Tuesday night at Max Stern Athletic Center, as the Yeshiva University men's volleyball team captured a 3-1 victory (25-23, 25-19, 22-25, 25-15) in its Skyline Conference season finale over visiting Purchase College.
The host Maccabees (11-18, 1-13) earned a season split with the Panthers (1-19, 1-13) by out-hitting the visitors .222 to .025, and registering a 9-7 edge in service aces. Junior middle blocker 
Menachem Goldstein (Chicago, Ill.) put down 10 kills on the night, while senior outside hitter and co-captain, 
Elchanan Margolis (Toronto, Ont.), one of the nation's leaders in digs per set, added a nine-kill, 14-dig outing. Margolis joined junior setter 
Adam Rhodes (Los Angeles, Calif.; 41 assists, two assisted blocks) and freshman defensive specialist 
Jorge Dabah (Miami, Fla.) with a match-high-tying three aces apiece.
Head coach Arnold Ross's Yeshiva side will wrap up its 2013 campaign at Max Stern Athletic Center on Thursday night, when it plays host to the four-team, Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference Championships. The Macs are the top seed in the tourney, and will take on fourth-seeded Webb Institute in a 6 p.m. semifinal. The winner of that contest will advance to the 8 p.m. championship match against the winner of the other 6 p.m. semifinal between Sarah Lawrence College and St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn.
