NEW HAVEN, Conn.— The Yeshiva men's volleyball team was defeated in three straight sets at Albertus Magnus College on Sunday afternoon. The Maccabees lost by scores of 25-9, 25-16 and 25-20.
 
Yeshiva is now 0-5 this season, while Albertus Magnus is now 5-0.
 
The Maccabees were led by Benjamin Mann with six kills, while Eliakim Gartenberg added four kills, two digs and three block assists. Jared Rechnitz had four kills and six digs, while Adam Rhodes offered 13 assists.
 
Albertus Magnus was led by Brendan Charamut with 11 kills and four digs, while Raul Rivera Rojas and Justin Tharau had eight kills each. Douglas DeSousa offered 40 assists and five service aces.
 
Yeshiva is back in action on Tuesday for its 2014 home opener against Sarah Lawrence College at 8 p.m.
