Men's Volleyball Blows by Medgar Evers College

NEW YORK, N.Y.— The Yeshiva men's volleyball team swept Medgar Evers College (25-8, 25-12, 25-18) in a contest at the Max Stern Athletic Center on Wednesday evening.
 
The win improves the Maccabees to 4-9 this season, while Medgar Evers is now 0-12 on the year.
 
Yeshiva was led by Joshua Teller with an attack percentage of .800. He had eight kills (no errors) on 10 attack attempts. He also had two digs and a block assist. Fellow teammate Jared Rechnitz had a .500 attack percentage. He had eight kills (one error) on 14 attack attempts in the first two sets. Joseph Lipton had six kills, while Adam Rhodes had 24 assists, six service aces and seven digs.
 
Medgar Evers was led by Austin Crawford with 10 kills and four digs.
 
Yeshiva never trailed in the first two sets. The Maccabees had a .316 attack percentage in the first game and a .545 in the second. Through the first two sets, Yeshiva had had a combined 17 kills (five errors) on 30 attack attempts for a .400 attack percentage. Overall, Yeshiva had a .250 attack percentage (27 kills, 13 errors, 56 attack attempts). Yeshiva also registered a season-high 11 service aces in the win.
 
Yeshiva is back in action on Tuesday Mar. 18 for a contest at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn at 8 p.m.
