FARMINGDALE, N.Y.— The Yeshiva baseball team was defeated by the College at Old Westbury in a pair of games on Friday morning. The Maccabees lost 15-0 and 36-0.
Yeshiva is now 0-7 (0-3 Skyline), while Old Westbury is now 2-8 (2-0 Skyline).
In the first game, the Maccabees had one hit, which came off the bat of
Samuel Rhodes in the top of the fifth inning.
Elan Paul suffered the game one loss. He went 4.0 innings and allowed 11 runs (10 earned) on nine hits.
In the second game, Old Westbury scored 13 runs in the first inning en route to the game two win.
Yeshiva had five hits in the nightcap, including one each by
Ephraim Botwinick,
Joseph Miller,
Jake Frankel,
Zev Friend, and
Daniel Turk.
Mendel Osdoba suffered the game two loss. He pitched 1.2 innings and allowed 18 runs (12 earned) on 13 hits.
